You held me high and I let you down,
Then you turned your back on me.
These faded dreams, my misery,

This is exactly how I pictured it.
You looking down on me for mistakes I've made.

This picture is painted now.

With nowhere to turn so far away from home.

These scars of wisdom forever guide me.
And through all the darkness I found a beacon of hope.
